So, Tahoe with the family was a lot of fun. We went snowboarding twice, and I must say, I did kind of improve a little. I still suck a bit, but not as badly as before. I can actually carve now if the conditions and timing are right.

It snowed for two days, which was pretty cool. Ate Karen, Joes, Kandy and I completely dorked out and went out to play in the snowfall right at the Nevada/California stateline.

We ended up going home one day earlier than planned; there's only so much you can do at a hotel/casino in a small town in the middle of the mountains in the winter. I had this whole day off to bum around the house, thank goodness. I drew up an itinerary of which homework I should do at what hour, and everything, but it ended up getting dumped in the trash. I was productive in that I finally watched my Netflix movies, though. "Mulan 2" is a total romance novel. It has lovers' quarrels and asswipes trying to break people up and fake-deaths and arranged marriages and happy endings, and everything. I liked it well enough, but it could do with some editing (out of Mushu). "Audition" is completely twisted. I have no words for it.

Anyway, work tomorrow. I'm actually opening for a change. I don't know if it's Lion King, stress or what, but I haven't been feeling as enthusiasic about it as I used to be. It was around this time last year that I started getting really tired of working at Mrs. Field's, so I can't help but wonder if the same goes with OCPAC. Maybe a year is pretty much my breaking point for every job. Or maybe I'm just burnt out. We'll see...

Word from Sony is that NewsRadio seasons 1 and 2 are coming out on DVD on May 24, which is really super awesome. A year later that originally planned, but awesome nonetheless. Anyway, to commemorate the event, here's a quote:

Joe: Seven times. I flunked this test seven times, you know. I mean, I don't want to say 'conspiracy,' but...
Lisa: Well actually, I am starting to see a pattern here."
Joe: Ah. Uh huh. Uh huh.
Lisa: One of last year's questions was: 'In the following circuit, the potential is blank volts.' And you answered: 'I refuse to answer the question on the grounds that the design of this circuit is totally sucky.'
Joe: Yeah. I don't know how that dumb bastard ever got to be a professor.
Lisa: Oh. Well you know, that would explain why you answered the next question: 'If you want to build a thermostat that won't be affected by humidity, try this you dumb bastard.'

I've always wanted to do this for non-scantron tests. So far, I've only done it once, for a response paper on Cartesian skepticism. And I didn't fail, so yay!

So, there this really annoying guy with an extremely grating, high-pitched, girly voice in my Comm 346 class who sits three rows ahead of me. He likes to talk and argue and contest everything the professor says, even though he always sounds as if he's just crapping BS out of his ass. I don't really know who he is, nor does he know who I am (and I would much rather it stay that way), but I'm pretty sure he's just doing that to irk me. My nerves stiffen and my teeth grind together everytime he opens his piehole. He just makes me want to bite down HARD on my inner cheek and tongue, as if I don't do that often enough. Seriously. I dare you to look inside my mouth; it is an ugly, ugly sight. All because of him. Beeyotch!

Traffic school on Saturday, dammit. It's eight hours of my life I would never get back, and it cost me $162. I'm hoping to get some readings done on that day, actually. Maybe I can finally get around to finishing Beloved.

Also on that day, I'm watching "Tommy" with some co-workers, featuring another co-worker of ours. Afterwards, I'm going with them to some place in LA to meet up with some other co-workers. Fun all around for everyone!
